Questions
Frequently asked
What counts as a delivery?▾
One set of files plus an invoice, sent to one brand. Free gives you one a month; top-up tokens or Pro cover the rest.
Do you take a percentage of my invoices?▾
No. Burr is a flat price. The money goes straight to you, we never touch it or take a cut.
Do free deliveries roll over?▾
No, the monthly free delivery doesn't roll over. Top-up tokens are the opposite, they never expire, so you keep what you buy.
What's the Founding rate?▾
The first 100 paying members lock £12/month for life. After that, Pro is £15/month or £120/year.
How does student pricing work?▾
Verify a .ac.uk email or NUS card and Pro drops to £7/month, with free Selections placement through Burr Open.

Manifesto · v.1 · 2026
Money talk should be cold.
An invoice is not a feeling. It is a date, an amount, a set of terms — and yet, in the creator economy, it has become a six-month correspondence rich in subtext, hedging, and unread apologies.
You make the work. You send the work. The work is good. The brand uses the work in a campaign that wins awards. You write the first email: “just following up on invoice 042.” Then another. Then another. Eventually the money arrives — three months late — and you are supposed to thank the AP team.
This is not an oversight. This is a working system that works for one side. It works because asking for money has been made into an emotional act, performed by the creator, in the creator's voice, on the creator's time.
“Just following up” is the most exhausting sentence in the English language. We are retiring it.
What Burr does differently
Burr takes the chase out of your inbox and puts it in a statement. The statement says one thing: this invoice is 14 days overdue, please pay £2,400 by Friday. No softening, no smiling, no exclamation marks. It is sent from your domain, it copies a finance address when escalation requires it, and it arrives whether you remember to send it or not.
The other side sees the same record you do. There is no “I never got that email.” There is no he-said-she-said. There is a ledger. The ledger is cold. The cold is the dignity.
The burrflake
Every invoice has a burrflake. Six arms, one for each step of overdue. As the invoice ages, arms fill in. By the time all six are glowing yellow, you have a tool you can screenshot, you have an icon a brand can no longer pretend not to see, and you have the option to issue a final notice that names the consequence.
It is silly. It is also serious. We chose a snowflake-shaped seedpod because we wanted to make late payment visible without making it angry. A burrflake is a small, sticky, persistent thing. It is also pretty. That contradiction is the brand.
What we will not do
We will not write debt-collection scripts. We will not gamify being paid. We will not run leaderboards of who pays the slowest. We are not a marketplace, we are not a contract tool, and we are not an AI agent that drafts your follow-ups for you in a voice that sounds nothing like you.
We are an invoice that knows what date it is, and a statement that goes out without you having to write it.
One more thing
The reason this works is the brand needs the files. That is the only consent moment in the system: confirm receipt, agree terms, access work. Everything after that is recorded and observable to both sides. We are not threatening anyone. We are merely refusing to forget.
Get paid. Get on with it.
Terms · v.1 · 2026
Read the boring half. Then the human half.
Both columns are binding to the extent legalese is. You deserve to know what you're agreeing to in fewer words.
01
The service
Legal
Burr provides a tool (“the Service”) enabling registered creators (“Users”) to dispatch combined deliveries of digital assets and invoices to designated recipients (“Brands”), and automates subsequent statement communications according to a fixed schedule.
Plain English
You send files + invoices in one go. We mail follow-ups on a fixed schedule.
02
File hosting
Legal
Burr does not host User-provided assets. The Service stores hyperlinks to third-party file hosts and is not liable for the availability, retention or expiry of such third-party content.
Plain English
We pass through the link. If your file host expires it, we can't recover the file.
03
Receipt and terms
Legal
A Brand's interaction with the magic-link confirmation constitutes acknowledgement of receipt of the assets and of the payment terms displayed. This acknowledgement is recorded as an immutable timestamped event.
Plain English
When the brand clicks “confirm receipt,” they're agreeing to the terms you set. We keep a timestamp.
04
Automated communications
Legal
Statements and reminders are dispatched from a verified sender domain associated with the User. The User may mute, pause, or trigger individual communications. Burr does not guarantee deliverability against third-party spam filtering.
Plain English
Emails go from your domain. You can pause or retrigger. Spam folders are out of our hands.
05
Final notice
Legal
A “final notice” statement, available upon completion of six aging cycles (“burrflake stage 6”), names a deadline after which the User may refer the debt to a recovery service of their choice. Burr does not initiate, mediate or otherwise participate in any subsequent recovery action.
Plain English
When the burrflake is full, you can issue a “pay by X or this goes to debt recovery.” Burr stops there. You take it from there.
06
Selections
Legal
Selections are editorial features, not advertising. Entries across the categories are reviewed and chosen at Burr's discretion; a fee reserves a submission for review, not a guaranteed feature. Burr reserves the right to decline entries deemed off-category or in conflict with the editorial principles of the Service.
Plain English
Four kinds of Selection: students (Burr Open), working creatives, brands, and institutional partners. We can say no to anything else.
07
Pricing changes
Legal
Founding-member pricing (£12/month) is locked for the lifetime of an uninterrupted Pro subscription. Subsequent Users will be charged the standard rate as published.
Plain English
First 100 keep £12/month as long as you don't cancel. Cancelling once and resubscribing later loses the rate.

What BURR Support does
The steps the Burr team takes once you request support on an overdue invoice.
01
Request
You request support on an overdue invoice. Burr receives the full record — invoice, terms, and every reminder already sent.
02
Review
A Burr specialist confirms the case and sets the approach. Usually within one working day.
03

Burr contacts the client directly, on the record. You are not in the thread.
04
Escalate
If it stays unpaid, Burr issues a formal demand and, with your approval, refers it to a UK recovery service.
Included with Pro. You keep control and can pause or take it back at any time.

Payment terms
How long the brand has to pay.
"Net 30" means payment is due 30 days after the invoice is issued. Standard for UK creative work. Shorter terms (Net 7 / Net 14) get you paid faster — useful with new clients.
Days
Calendar daysCounts every day including weekends and bank holidays. Default for most B2B invoicing.
Working
Working daysMon–Fri only, excluding UK bank holidays. Common in finance and government work where AP teams only operate on business days.
Burr automatically converts working days to a calendar due date for the brand. Reminders fire on the correct day either way.
Revoke delivery
Stop the brand from accessing this delivery.
The magic link will return a "this delivery has been revoked" page. Any download links from this delivery become invalid immediately. The brand gets an email letting them know to contact you directly.
Audit history is preserved. You can issue a new delivery to the same brand at any time.
Auto follow-ups
Polite, persistent, automatic.
Burr sends an email on each scheduled day so you don't have to chase. Toggle any of them on or off. The brand only sees one email at a time — and a polite one at that.
−3d
Heads up3 days before the due date, the brand gets a friendly reminder with the invoice attached and the payment terms restated.
Day 0
Due dateThis is when payment is due. No automated message is sent on this day — the previous notice handles it.
+1d
NudgeOne day after due, a short factual note: "The invoice is now past due. Could you confirm payment status when you have a moment?"
+14d
ChaseTwo weeks late, Burr sends a firmer statement noting it's overdue and citing UK statutory late-payment interest (8% above Bank of England base rate). Still polite, still factual.
+30d
StatementOne month late, a formal statement with full payment history and a request to settle. CC'd to your designated finance contact if you set one.
You're always the sender — Burr just writes the words and times the send. Reply to any email and you take over the thread.
